James “JJ” Holmgreen was an integral part of the ALLY family from the moment he joined the core team in 2014. Over the course of more than a decade, he became a cornerstone of our Field Operations team, ultimately serving as our first Director of Field Operations in Pennsylvania. In this role, JJ helped shape the future of our superintendent leadership, guiding his team with integrity, vision, and an unwavering commitment to safety and excellence.

A natural leader, JJ was known for mentoring others, fostering collaboration, and building processes that continue to strengthen the West Point team today. His ability to recognize the strengths of each individual and unite people toward a common goal left a lasting impact on his colleagues, clients, and the projects he proudly oversaw. His work on high-profile pharmaceutical, educational, and commercial developments reflects both his technical expertise and his dedication to delivering the highest quality results.

Before his career in construction, JJ served his country as a U.S. Marine combat engineer and heavy equipment operator, earning three meritorious promotions. His discipline, resilience, and sense of duty carried into every chapter of his life—whether in the field, at home, or among friends. An Eagle Scout, proud Marine, and devoted father, JJ embodied the values of service, leadership, and loyalty.

Beyond his many accomplishments, JJ will be remembered as a trusted colleague, a role model, and a friend whose steady presence and positive spirit uplifted everyone around him. His legacy lives on in the people he mentored, the projects he led, and the family and community he so deeply loved.
