FOURTH FLOOR OFFICE RENOVATION
Overview
This four-story office building underwent a complete renovation of its fourth floor to create a modern, collaborative workspace while enhancing critical building infrastructure. The project included the installation of new partitions, furniture, and interior finishes, along with extensive modifications to mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems to support the updated floor plan and meet current code requirements. A key challenge involved upgrading the building’s heating hot water system, which serves all four floors, without disrupting service to occupied lower levels. Through detailed planning, innovative hazardous energy control procedures, temporary bypass systems, and the installation of 72 new control valves, balancing valves, and individual isolation valves, the team successfully completed the upgrades while maintaining uninterrupted operations throughout the building. The result was a fully modernized workspace with improved operational flexibility, enhanced system efficiency, reduced maintenance risks, and infrastructure designed to support future facility needs.
